Unprecedented Rainfall Brings Fuel for Wildfires
San Diego County has seen over 10.70 inches of rain this year, surpassing the annual average in April. With rainfall of this magnitude we will see lots of vegetation growth and with vegetation growth comes extra fuel for wildfire season which will begin in a few months. SERVPRO® of Mission Valley East wants San Diego residents to know that we have the training and state-of-the-art equipment to respond to any wildfire storm emergency and we want to help.
Wildfire Prevention
According to the County of San Diego, Planning & Development Services Building Division, it is a good idea to take preventative measures now to protect your home or property from wildfire damage. Keeping a perimeter of 100 feet of defensible space around your property clear of combustible materials like leaves and other vegetation is state-mandated. Taking inventory and photographing your property will help to facilitate insurance claims in the event you suffer damage from a wildfire.
